Vendors needed for Twin Cities farmers’ market and fitness events

ST. PAUL , Minn. – The Minnesota Farmers’ Market Association (MFMA) has teamed up with Life Time Fitness to host farmers’ markets next month in Chanhassen and Plymouth. It’s a great opportunity for growers and vendors who want to promote eating healthy, locally grown foods and exercise.

The markets are scheduled Monday, July 13 at the Life Time Fitness in Chanhassen and Monday, July 20 at Life Time Fitness in Plymouth. Both events will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Vendor participation is free and the MFMA hopes to offer a wide range of products such as produce, flowers, breads, jams/jellies, meats, cheese, canned goods, honey, syrups, sauces, baked goods and much more. Vendors can expect approximately 2,000 people visiting the clubs each day.

Set up at each market is from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. and vendors must remain until the market closes. Vendors should provide their own tables, table cloths and tents.

Interested vendors should call Carol Morris at 763-494-6002 or cmorris@ci.maple-grove.mn.us, or call Amanda Baesler at the Minnesota Department of Agriculture at 651-201-6680, or Amanda.baesler@state.mn.us.
