Little progress on Corn Belt harvest

Wet weather has kept farmers out of the fields, and this week’s Crop Progress report shows little harvest activity over the past week in northern states. The report lists 90 percent of the U.S. corn crop as mature as of Oct. 25, up from 83 percent last week but behind one year ago, when USDA reported 96 percent mature. The five-year average for the date is 99 percent mature.
